Dr. Sómone D. Washington is an accomplished Learning and Development professional with over 20 years of experience designing impactful educational experiences. She is the founder and owner of Kiasi Technology Solutions, where she leverages her expertise to create innovative learning solutions. Dr. Washington’s academic achievements include degrees from Florida International University, Barry University, and California State University, Long Beach, along with an honorary Doctor of Humanity.

A dedicated member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. for nearly 25 years, Dr. Washington has consistently demonstrated her commitment to leadership, service, community, and social action. Her personal journey took a significant turn at the age of 24 when she was diagnosed with end-stage renal failure, a life-threatening condition that would forever change her perspective on life and health advocacy. After receiving a kidney transplant in November 2010, she has passionately shared her story to raise awareness about the critical need for organ, eye, and tissue donors, especially within black and brown communities.

Dr. Washington's dedication to this cause extends to her work as an ambassador for OneLegacy, a leading organization focused on public education and family support for organ donation. Through speaking engagements and collaborations with medical professionals, she inspires others to consider becoming donors, emphasizing the disproportionate need for transplants within minority populations.

In her professional life, Dr. Washington continues to excel as a public speaker, author, business strategist and coach, book development consultant, technology learning facilitator, digital implementation professional, and an award-winning software analyst at a university in Southern California, where she resides.
