Affordable Learning Solutions Workshop

Affordable Learning Solutions Workshop In-Person

The cost of course materials continue to be a barrier to students success nationwide. Even with well below average pricing at CSULB, our students sometimes opt to forgo required materials altogether despite a recognition that doing so impacts their learning. As faculty, you have the power to greatly impact the amount of money students will have to spend on their course materials. In this workshop you will learn how to identify and locate cost-savings options for use in your courses, including Day 1 Digital Access (D1DA) products, and entirely free Open Educational Resources (OER). You will also hear student survey data on course materials as well as see the cost-reduction progress our campus has made thus far. The aim of this workshop is to increase awareness of these issues and to provide you with solutions for addressing student needs.

All faculty in attendance will receive a $15 promotional card compliments of CSULB Affordable Learning Solutions (AL$).
